Upholstering is such an intimate experience... undoing every layer, seam and nail someone had painstakingly assembled, sewn and hammered many, many years ago...

After many hours of de-upholstering (is that a word?), sanding, staining, sewing, stapling... my painstaking work is finally complete!

Happy Monday, loves -- hope everyone had a spectacular weekend. What did you get up to?
Between baseball games (can you beat baseball, beer & hot-dogs on a sunny day?), birthday parties & soaking up the sunshine, I embarked on a new [messy/labour intensive/time-consuming/exciting!] project... de-upholstering (is that even a word?) a chair that I recently acquired on Craig's List. I have high hopes for the finished product... I think she will be beautiful.
As I get closer to upholstery phase of the project, I wonder if anyone has any good tips as to where I can get some good/unique upholstery fabric in Vancouver or available online? I'm looking for something bright, maybe floral? Patterned? Thoughts?

We're caught in a bit of a snow storm here in Croatia...
I just want to curl up in this romantic, white room, with my hair perfectly disheveled, dressed in frilly pjs, adorned in fabulous jewelry... and, well, I just love this chair. Perfect way to spend a lazy/glamorous snowy day, no? xo
