Nelle Contest!

The always lovely Brooklyn Bride has teamed up with Nelle handbags, offering up the opportunity to win up to five (fabulous) Nelle clutches for your bridesmaids.

To enter, create a moodboard that reflects your vision of your bridemaid's wedding style, inspired by a Nelle bag! More details here.

Above is the moodboard I've entered... I'm really pleased with it, as it reflects my exact vision of our wedding! Wish me luck!

Fun, Fresh & Fabulous!

I saw this image on d*s ages ago but it has really stuck with me. It may have been our original inspiration in opting for a colour pallet in lieu of one or two wedding colours. I love love love the warmth, freshness & personality of these colours & patterns. And what a great little gift idea!

M & I were at his cousin's wedding in Thunder Bay last August and they had done something very similar, but with jam (these are syrup). It's something everyone can use (or keep!) and means more because it's homemade.

Colour Palette

Since the beginning of this process, we've been looking at different colour options for 'the big day'. Originally we were thinking mainly white & green with purple accents... but maybe that was just last year's Real Simple Wedding's influence.

From there we moved onto the idea of choosing a colour palette as opposed to just one or two colours. I'm really happy with this idea... allows for a bit more freedom & expression. These shirt & tie combos from Martha Stewart are a great example of the flexibility of a colour palette and these fabric escort cards I found at her fabulous blog sealed the deal for me. I love their warmth, & texture!
