While I love blogging about pretty purses & lusting over jewelry, my "real" job is the polar opposite of Habit. I work with a non-profit that deals with violence & abuse prevention, both locally and internationally.
...and today, I bridge the two -- violence & abuse prevention and fashion!
Day of Pink is the International Day against Bullying, Discrimination and Homophobia in schools and communities. [It] is a day of action, born when a youth in a high school in Cambridge, Nova Scotia was bullied because he wore a pink shirt to school. His fellow students decided to stand up to bullying; and hundreds of students came to school wearing pink to show support for diversity and stopping discrimination, bullying and homophobia.
So... throw on something pink tomorrow, and show your support!
