Upholstering is such an intimate experience... undoing every layer, seam and nail someone had painstakingly assembled, sewn and hammered many, many years ago...
After many hours of de-upholstering (is that a word?), sanding, staining, sewing, stapling... my painstaking work is finally complete!

ReplyDeleteAnd....how does it feel to sit in it? Comfy?! Good work, SR!
ReplyDeleteThis just made my day! I bought this chair from a thrift store on Victoria Drive in 1995 for $15. It was the only piece of furniture to travel with me from house to house to apartment to basement suite to house to apartment until this summer when I moved to Ottawa and sadly realized the chair had to go.
ReplyDeleteMy former roommate sent me your link to show me that my old orange friend went to a good home. I couldn't be more pleased, and am sending this link to all my friends and family like a proud parent. It looks beautiful.
Aileen!
