// For the Father who has everything...

How great are these animal inspired shoehorns? Choose between Moose, rabbit, deer and bull! They're made of wood and pewter... much better than the old plastic version my Father currently rocks. My parents backyard is somewhat of a mecca for deer, so I hope to dazzle him this year with the "deer" option.

Sexy Vest

Had drinks with friends last night who are getting married in two weeks. The boys are wearing this sexy get-up from JCrew. Super hot, hey?

I've been diggin' the vest with rolled sleeve look and have been meaning to get M out to try some on. Causal, sexy, sophisticated.

How to...

$10,000 wedding just posted a link to a step by step boutonniere making tutorial from Martha Stewart!
I'm loving the textured fabrics juxtaposed with herbs & flowers.
These were my original inspiration.

Shoes!

(photos from here)

You can really start to lose yourself in the mayhem of wedding planning. M & I really want to ensure that our wedding represents us. Pretty white shoes are so not me so I was immediately drawn to these images of fun footwear! What a great way to add a splash of colour and show off your sense of style!

I think M will love the idea of fun footwear as he typically wears Clarks & Converse with fun striped or argyle socks. Will have to keep my eyes open for great men's dress shoes... and fun, colourful heels!

Boutonnieres

I found these incredible boutonnieres on this amazing site and they can be found for sale here.

These are so fabulous for so many reasons... item a) you make a DIY version yourself b) you don't have to deal with fresh flowers c) you can make them way in advance and check it off your list!

Since we're planning a fall wedding, I think we could totally pull these off using felt, dried berries and other assorted items.

We're think our 'accent' colour will be a burnt orage which would work really well with these... Can't wait to try making one... I'll be sure to post my success/failures!
